The Citrus Garden Club is happy to present Steven Davis, Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator, Citrus County Department of Water Resources, as guest speaker at their next meeting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, at Whispering Pines Park at 1700 Forest Drive, Inverness.

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Steven has spent his career as a landscape professional designing, estimating, building and maintaining landscapes throughout Florida. Today, educating landscape professionals, informing Homeowners Associations and guiding new Florida residents toward creating manageable Florida-friendly landscapes is his priority.

Steven’s FFL Program provides educational workshops delivering access to University of Florida researched gardening data to over three thousand local residents each year. As a GIBMP instructor Steven assisted in educating many of the over 300 landscape professionals and citizens currently trained or certified as limited urban fertilizer applicators in Citrus County.
