LECANTO — The 18th annual Parade of Trees will be held Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Lecanto.
The two-day event includes both a public Tree Viewing that is open to the public from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. This viewing is a great way to kick off the holiday season and will feature beautifully decorated Christmas trees, as well as raffles and Chinese auctions that will be given away at the end of the evenings’ events.
Santa Claus will be on hand from 5-7 p.m. with presents for children in attendance.
Admission to the Tree Viewing is a new toy or non-perishable food item to benefit Citrus United Basket.
On Friday, Nov. 22, the Gala Evening will include the Parade of Trees viewing, cocktail hour, festive dinner buffet, Chinese auction, raffles and door prizes, plus live entertainment with Sally Langwah. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Cost for the Parade of Trees Gala Event is $50 per person.
