Mathew Baillargeon from the committee for the Annual Christmas Parade and After Party is shown accepting a $1,500 check from Dunnellon Community Thrift Shop volunteers Barbara Hulse and Jan Salfisberg, with an assist from Santa Claus. This year's Christmas Parade will begin its march at the Dunnellon Middle School at 5:30 PM, Saturday, December 7th, and continue on to the Little League Complex, the site of the After Party. The money donated by the Thrift Shop will be used to pay for approximately half the rental cost of the popular Snow Slide, which gives Florida youngsters a taste of what it is like to live in snow country. The After Party will have something for everyone—food, entertainment and games, with the highlight of the evening being the appearance of both Mr. and Mrs Claus. The entire event is free, except for any food you may wish to purchase.  Last year over 3,000 people attended, with festivities wrapping up around 10 p.m. Plan on spending a family evening that showcases the best of small town living.
