Precious Paws Clear the Shelter

Precious Paws Rescue has over 40 kittens and cats at their adoption center waiting for forever homes. The rescue will participate in the national Clear the Shelter Adoption Event, sponsored by NBC, on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Precious Paws Rescue has joined with thousands of nationwide rescue groups to participate in the Saturday, Aug. 17, Clear the Shelter Adoption Event. This is the fourth annual event sponsored by NBC.

Precious Paws Rescue is located at 5164 S. Florida Ave. in the Colonial Strip Mall, Unit 203, in Inverness. As is the custom for this event, adoption fees will be adjusted.

Precious Paws currently has approximately 40-plus cats and kittens on site ready to move into your heart and home.

Adoptions will allow Precious Paws volunteers to take in some of the many kittens waiting for rescue. The kittens, along with their moms, have been rescued by Citrus County animal lovers and are waiting for space at the Precious Paws Rescue Adoption Center.

Precious Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer charity organization based in Citrus County. All pets ready for adoption have been fully vetted, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and well-socialized.

Come into the adoption center, sit on the couch and you may find a best friend for life.

The Precious Paws Rescue Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
