INVERNESS – Citrus Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce Becky Baute, RN, BSN, MBA, has been selected as its new chief nursing officer (CNO). She joins the Citrus Memorial team with 36 years of nursing leadership experience.
“Becky has worked with a variety of specialties, keeping her primary focus on quality and patient safety,” said Ralph Aleman, Citrus Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer. “Her impressive background as a nurse leader will prove a real asset to our organization.”
Baute comes to Citrus Memorial Hospital from Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, where she served as nurse executive for three years. Prior to her work at Prisma Health, she served in multiple roles at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center including assistant vice president of emergency department, critical care and ambulatory administration, as well as senior clinical director of neonatal and pediatric mobile intensive care unit.
Baute received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati and Master of Business Administration from Thomas More College. She has been published in multiple journals and has presented at conferences around the world on topics including air and surface patient transport, disaster preparedness, emergency and disaster management, and virtual reality simulation. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
