Amazing Dog Stopper

Debbie Rogers of Inverness, co-inventor of the Amazing Dog Stopper, displays the small but effective device that keeps dogs from running away from their owners. Sales at the Clear the Shelter event will benefit Citrus County Animal Services.

The Amazing Dog Stopper will be on sale at a 20% discount at the Clear the Shelters pet adoption event on Saturday, Aug. 17, with $5 from each sale donated to the Citrus County Animal Services.

The Amazing Dog Stopper is an invention created by Tom and Debbie Rogers of Inverness that will train a dog to not run away or into traffic. It was featured in the Citrus County Chronicle when it was introduced in April 2017, and consists of a pendant that clips onto a dog’s collar that will stop it from running from its owner. It employs simple technology that requires no batteries or apps.

Normally retailing for $19.99, the Amazing Dog Stopper will be sold at the event for $15.99 with five dollars from each sale donated to support the ongoing work of Citrus County Animal Services.

The Clear the Shelters adoption event will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the County Animal Shelter at 4030 S. Airport Road in Inverness.
