Starting February 2, new support group sessions of the Friends of Citrus and the Nature Coast Grief Toolbox will start meeting for nine weeks at the Wings Grief Center, 8471 W. Periwinkle Lane in Homosassa Springs. The Grief Toolbox Support Group provides participants with an understanding of the grief experience and a place to talk openly about their grief, bringing them the essential tools they need to deal with their grief. Sponsored by Brown Funeral Home & Crematory, these sessions focus on video presentations, handouts and discussions, meeting Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. from February 2 through March 30.

 

Also starting new sessions at the Wings Grief Center on February 2 is The Grief Study Group, a faith-based study for handling grief, The Grief Study Group will meet for nine Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., February 2 through March 30. Sponsored by North Citrus Christian Church, it provides help for those experiencing “little deaths” in life as well as the loss of a loved one. Workbooks are available for a $10 suggested donation.

All support group sessions observe CDC guidelines; since space may be limited, reserve your seat in advance by calling 352-249-1470.
