It’s a lofty goal, but Jacob Hensley’s long-game mindset means he’s fairly confident he can achieve it.

“I want to be the FHSAA 2A cross country state champ my senior year,” he said. “For me, that’s a realistic goal.”

The Citrus High School runner is currently ranked 21st in the state in the 2A division and is ranked fifth among fellow sophomores.
