“Rough.”

That’s how Crystal River running back Tyrek Scriven described his team’s 60-12 defeat to the Dunnellon Tigers on Friday night.

“We got a lot of things we need to work on — and it showed tonight,” Scriven said.

It was the season-opening game. Hopes were high and the Pirates had the home crowd behind them. But it didn’t take long before the Tigers imposed their physicality and dominance.
