Citrus County Animal Shelter
If you’re looking for the perfect cuddlebug, Molly is the one for you. She is a stunning 2-3 year old brindle pit bull mix, 54 pounds, and has been at the shelter since 4/28. She is very sweet and what she wants most is to be by your side (or in your lap!) She walks well on the leash with little to no correction needed, is house-broken, and does excellent on car rides! Molly very rarely jumps up on people, so a home with children or elderly people would be no problem. She’s also very quiet; she hardly barks at anything unless she’s trying to alert you to something. Molly loves treats and being petted, and is about medium energy level. She does not need a lot of outside room, as long as she has a place to do her business and walk around a little. Otherwise, she prefers being cuddled up to you! Molly does not like cats very much, and is a more dominant dog, so she would do best in a home without cats and without dogs that will try to climb on her. Other than that, she is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet!
Special to the Chronicle

Andy is a 9-month-old Chihuahua/terrier mix that weighs about 15 pounds. He is smart and knows the sit command and is doing great on house training. Sally is a beagle/terrier mix with pretty colors on her face. She is only about 9 months old and weighs 13 pounds and is doing well on her training, also. They would both be wonderful family dogs; adopted together or separately. Adopt A Rescued Pet Inc. does home visits prior to adoptions; therefore, we can only adopt the Citrus County area. Call (352) 795-9550, leave your name, number and pet’s name for a return call from the foster mom. Check www.adoptarescuedpet.com for our other pets and the adoption calendar with locations, dates and times.
