retriever mix
Citrus County Animal Shelter
This girl has it all-great looks, personality, intelligence, and a bright mind! Tammy is an American Lab mix and has a beautiful chocolate coat that is absolutely stunning. She knows sit and down but has untapped potential for learning more and could excel in obedience training. She loves treats and takes them gently from your hand. She is athletic and loves exercise. Like most retrievers if you give her a ball she will entertain herself for hours and she absolutely loves spending time in the kiddie pool. Tammy is reserved until she knows you and the unpredictability of young children scares her so we are recommending older children and adults for her. Tammy is a young adult and weighs 65 pounds. Because we've seen her amazing potential and desire to please she will begin working with a trainer at the shelter. Don't forget any dog adopted from Citrus County Animal Shelter qualifies for six weeks of free obedience training classes! Tammy is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. See Tammy at Citrus County Animal Shelter, 4030 S. Airport Road, Inverness Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 4 pm (extended hours on Thursday until 6 pm). CitrusCritters.com ID# 25034561
Special to the Chronicle

Andy is a 9-month-old Chihuahua/terrier mix that weighs about 15 pounds. He is smart and knows the sit command and is doing great on house training. Sally is a beagle/terrier mix with pretty colors on her face. She is only about 9 months old and weighs 13 pounds and is doing well on her training, also. They would both be wonderful family dogs; adopted together or separately. Adopt A Rescued Pet Inc. does home visits prior to adoptions; therefore, we can only adopt the Citrus County area. Call (352) 795-9550, leave your name, number and pet’s name for a return call from the foster mom.
