County officials said sandbag locations will not be open today.
Surging storm

Wind and rain from Tropical Storm Hermine could combine with late afternoon high tides to create a wet mess Thursday and Friday for Citrus County’s coastal communities.

Tidal surges from Hermine have the potential of bringing water as far inland as U.S. 19, flooding homes and businesses in its path, said Capt. David DeCarlo, director of Citrus County Emergency Management.
