Two fire engines $880,000

INVERNESS — Two new fire engines joined the fleet of Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue on Friday.

These engines — each costing approximately $440,000 — were purchased from funds through the fire Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU).

“These two pieces of equipment are the first two big purchases with the MSBU,” Fire Chief Jim Goodworth said.
