C.R. institutes new fees

Crystal River residents may have noticed changes over the past few months as the city gears up for renovations.

But it is ticket stations, which require visitors to pay to park or to use a boat ramp, that has locals and tourists debating whether the change is justifiable.

Last December, the city installed five ticket stations at four locations to start charging for its once-free service. In January, the machines were in working order.
