Veteran Tony Brice says he is grateful to Barbara Mills and Sandy Cross with Operation Welcome Home, as well as The Home Depot Foundation, for completing a renovation project at his home in Inverness. Brice, who suffers from PTSD and neck and back injuries, was working on his home piecemeal, but with the organizations’ help, as well as volunteer labor, the home is now complete.
Hope restored for area veteran

Tony Brice now thinks of hope when he walks into his home.

Hope in a community willing to come together for not just him, but for all veterans like him who return home and try to adapt to life away from war.

“There are people out there that are going to help,” the 43-year-old U.S. Army veteran said, encouraging veterans to seek out the assistance available for them. “There is hope, reach out — don’t be afraid to reach out.”
