  • For the Record 7/24/2014

    Arrests

    * Trisha Powell, 28, of North Brooks Terrace, Dunnellon, at 5:38 p.m. July 22 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance charge and a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge. According to her arrest affidavit, Powell was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a faulty brake light. The driver reportedly consented to a search of the vehicle and one hydromorphone pill, a hypodermic needle and a silver spoon were found in Powell’s possession. Her bond was set at $5,500.

    * Michael Hendricks, 36, of Dunnellon, at 11:58 p.m. July 21 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

    * Allen Ingram, 33, of Homosassa, at 2:51p.m. July 17 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. 

    * Richard Christiansen Jr., 20, of Inverness, at 5:24 p.m. July 17 on a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation.

    Domestic battery arrests

    * Joshua Ellis, 37, of Homosassa, at 8:44 a.m. July 16 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Ellis was also charged with felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of battery on a law enforcement officer. He violated his probation when he was arrested Tuesday for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon.

    DUI arrest

    * Philip Custer, 28, of Southeast 16th Avenue, Gainesville, at 5:20 p.m. July 12 on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving. According to his arrest affidavit, Custer is accused of reaching speeds near 100 mph, passing in a turn lane, passing on a double yellow line and forcing at least two vehicles off Carl G. Rose Highway. He was asked to perform field sobriety tasks and did poorly. Custer refused Breathalyzer testing to measure his blood alcohol level. Bond $1,500.

    * A residential burglary was reported at 4:22 p.m. Thursday, July 10, in the 9400 block of W. Green Bay Lane, Crystal River.

    * A residential burglary was reported at 2:35 a.m. Friday, July 11, in the 3700 block of N. Olive Ave., Crystal River.

    Domestic battery arrests

    * Aubrey Mannion, 29, of Lecanto, at 7:30 p.m. July 10 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

    * Allen West, 60, of Dunnellon, at 11:57 a.m. July 10 on a felony charge of tampering with a witness or victim, and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

    * Hunter Ward, 24, of Northeast Ninth Street, Crystal River, at 2:51 a.m. July 9 on an active Sacramento, California, parole violation warrant. Bond was denied.

    * Kerry Atchison, 52, of Inverness, at 9:21 p.m. July 8 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

    Other arrests

    * Jonathan Key, 39, of Inverness, at 8:09 a.m. July 8 on felony charges of resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer, along with misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and trespass after warning. Bond $11,500.
