    * Amy Derry, 56, of Crystal River, at 9:01 p.m. July 29 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

    DUI arrests

    * Dennis Bapista, 48, of South Gray Pelican Way, Homosassa, at 12:37 a.m. July 27 on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and refusing to submit to testing after a previous suspension for refusal. According to his arrest affidavit, Bapista was pulled over for running a stop sign. He was asked to perform field sobriety tasks but refused. Bapista also refused Breathalyzer testing to measure his blood alcohol level. Bond $1,500.

    Arrests

    * David Stephenson, 53, of Merridale Avenue, Leesburg, at 8:43 a.m. July 24 on two active Lake County warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of driving with a suspended license. He was already in custody on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest.

    Arrests

    * Trisha Powell, 28, of North Brooks Terrace, Dunnellon, at 5:38 p.m. July 22 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance charge and a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge. According to her arrest affidavit, Powell was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a faulty brake light. The driver reportedly consented to a search of the vehicle and one hydromorphone pill, a hypodermic needle and a silver spoon were found in Powell’s possession. Her bond was set at $5,500.

    * Michael Hendricks, 36, of Dunnellon, at 11:58 p.m. July 21 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

    * Allen Ingram, 33, of Homosassa, at 2:51p.m. July 17 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. 

    * Richard Christiansen Jr., 20, of Inverness, at 5:24 p.m. July 17 on a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation.

    Domestic battery arrests

    * Joshua Ellis, 37, of Homosassa, at 8:44 a.m. July 16 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Ellis was also charged with felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of battery on a law enforcement officer. He violated his probation when he was arrested Tuesday for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon.

    DUI arrest

    * Philip Custer, 28, of Southeast 16th Avenue, Gainesville, at 5:20 p.m. July 12 on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving. According to his arrest affidavit, Custer is accused of reaching speeds near 100 mph, passing in a turn lane, passing on a double yellow line and forcing at least two vehicles off Carl G. Rose Highway. He was asked to perform field sobriety tasks and did poorly. Custer refused Breathalyzer testing to measure his blood alcohol level. Bond $1,500.
