Chip Earls of Pyrotec, a fireworks company based in Gainesville, constructs a rack to hold 4-inch mortars that will be used to launch fireworks into the sky this evening in Inverness. The Patriotic Evening at Liberty and Wallace Brooks parks will run from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be vendors, kids games and music, with a patriotic ceremony at 7 p.m. Fireworks will light up the sky at around 9 p.m. Independence Day celebrations move to Crystal River on Saturday, with activities beginning at King’s Bay Park at 5 p.m. and fireworks starting at about 9 p.m.
