  • 67th anniversary: The Bucks

    Bob and Bea Buck will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12, 2014.

    They were married in Monette, Arkansas, on Sept. 12, 1947. They have lived in Inverness almost 35 years and were members of Inverness Golf & Country Club for more than 25 years.

    The couple have one daughter, Donna Martin (husband John), of Inverness.

  • 60th anniversary: The Pattons

    Jim and Marcie Patton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4, 2014.

    They were married in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Sept. 4, 1954. Marcie is an active volunteer with Ellie Schiller

    Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and Meals On Wheels. Jim is a retired test pilot from NASA and volunteers for Meals On Wheels and Hospice. The Pattons have lived in Citrus County for more than 25 years in The Islands subdivision.

  • Engaged: Hayes/Davis

    Megan L. Hayes and David J. Davis, both of Floral City, have announced their engagement.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Hayes of Inverness. She is a dental assistant.

    The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Davis of Floral City. He is a welder.

    The couple plan to exchange nuptial vows in spring 2015.

  • 60th anniversary: The Johnses

    William and Dorothy Johns of Crystal River celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7, 2014.

    They were married Aug. 7, 1954, in Denver, Colorado.

    The couple have three children — Judy Haag (Bruce) of Homosassa, Billy Johns (Lee) of Crystal River and Loriann Stamper (Greg) of Morristown, as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

  • 50th anniversary: The Davises

    Art and Carol Davis of Crystal River celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2014, with a seven-day cruise of the Hawaiian islands.

    The couple were wed June 27, 1964, in the college chapel of Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.

    Art retired as owner/manager of Carpetowne, USA in Homosassa Springs. Carol retired from teaching in the Citrus County School System. They have lived in Citrus County since July 1978.

  • 62nd anniversary: The Nahmiases

    Janet and Jack Nahmias of Inverness celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary with dinner at Longhorn Steak House in Ocala.

    They were married Aug. 2, 1952, at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in New Haven, Connecticut.

    The couple have a son, Gary, who lives in Garland, Texas, and one grandchild.

    They are retired and have lived in Inverness for 23 years. 

  • Engaged: Welsh/Kelly

    Lindsey Welsh and Jimmy Doolittle Kelly III, both of Bradenton, have announced their engagement.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Russ and Cheryl Welsh of Phoenix, Arizona. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona and is a biologist.

    Her fiancé is the son of Jimmy Doolittle Kelly II and Shannon Kelly-Hinote. He is a professional boat builder.

    The couple will exchange nuptial vows at 6:30 p.m. March 22, 2015, in Homosassa Springs.

    Iris Archambault of Homosassa traveled recently to visit family in Canon, Georgia. Pictured are five generations of family members: Janice Johnson of Orlando, Iris, Danielle Favorite of Canon, Savanna Favorite of Orlando and 3-month-old Aria.
