INVERNESS — An Orange County woman filed a federal lawsuit against the Citrus County School District claiming officials accused her of cheating on a test because she is black.
Lelia Jackson-Burch is seeking at least $75,000 and punitive damages against school district officials for an incident that occurred in 2010 at Withlacoochee Technical Institute.
School board attorney Wes Bradshaw said the district would have no comment.
