Warriors rally past Legacy 30-22

The Seven Rivers Christian football team picked up a 30-22 preseason victory over Legacy Charter on Friday night in Ocoee.

The Warriors trailed 14-7 at halftime and 22-15 after three quarters of action, but dominated play in the fourth period for the victory.

Seven Rivers rolled up 276 rushing yards, including 153 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries by Dakota Pace. Nate Winstead added 83 yards on 10 attempts.

Will Ellis went 5 for 11 passing for 71 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown toss to Sterling Gardner.

The Warrior defense allowed 261 total yards of offense to the Eagles, but just 69 in a dominating second half of play. Allen Rivers and Pace each had an interception for the Warriors.

Seven Rivers has a bye next week and travels to Ocala Christian Academy on Sept. 5 to open the regular season.
