Nick Bryant, Sr., Citrus

The 6-foot-7 center emerged as the go-to guy for the Hurricanes and a force on both ends of the floor, leading a team with no returning starters to a surprising 14-13 showing and the third seed in the district. Paced the ’Canes in scoring (12.7 points per game), rebounding (8.9) and blocks (2.0). Finished with seven double-doubles, including 17 points and 20 rebounds in the district semifinals against Central.

Caleb Fagan, Sr., Seven Rivers Christian

A transfer from Ocala-West Port, the 6-foot forward made the most of his lone season with the Warriors, helping them go 16-9 after three straight losing seasons, including 6-17 in 2015-16. He was the team’s top scorer, averaging 14.2 points, and rebounder, averaging 9.0 boards. He was even the leader in steals at 3.2, and accounted for 2.6 assists per contest.

Xavier Francois-McCullough, Jr., Crystal River

An athletic 6-foot-2 forward, he was perhaps the best all-around player for the Pirates, who finished 15-11 and split the county championship with Citrus. He was third on the team in scoring (9.8 points per game) and led the Pirates in rebounding (7.7) while averaging 1.3 steals.
