A Florida administrative law judge has rejected a challenge by an environmental group to the Department of Environmental Protection’s intent to issue a permit for the Sabal Trail natural gas pipeline.
The purpose of the pipeline is to provide natural gas for generating electricity in Florida. The state’s part of the project includes about 233 miles of 36-inch pipe for the mainline and 21.5 miles of 24-inch pipe for the Citrus County connection.
