Domestic battery arrest

* Duane Hawkins, 60, of Hernando, at 8:10 p.m. July 28 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. 

Other arrests

* Kayla Haywood, 23, of Southwest 81st Way, Bushnell, at 5:47 p.m. July 26 on a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. According to her arrest affidavit, Haywood was pulled over for running a stop sign. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs and a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue was found in her possession. Haywood’s bond was set at $1,000.

* James Earley, 38, of South Jackson Street, Beverly Hills, at 9:28 p.m. July 26 on two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor charge of knowingly driving with a suspended license. According to his arrest affidavit, Earley was pulled over for a faulty tag light. He reportedly consented to a search of the vehicle and one hydrocodone bitartrate (Vicodin) pill and one morphine sulfate pill were found in his possession. His bond was set at $5,000.

* Devin Denoncourt, 21, of East Amity Street, Inverness, at 1:05 a.m. July 27 on an active Sumter County warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of grand theft. He was already incarcerated on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest.

* Christopher Bright, 42, of North Northwood Drive, Inglis, at 5:49 a.m. July 27 on an active warrant for obtaining property by means of a worthless check. His bond was set at $150.

* Mathew McKeown, 28, of West Corina’s Court, Homosassa, at 9:40 p.m. July 27 on a felony charge of knowingly driving with a suspended license with three or more convictions. According to his arrest affidavit, McKeown was pulled over for a faulty headlight. A background search revealed that McKeown’s license had been suspended 23 times and he had four previous convictions for driving with a suspended license. His bond was set at $2,000. 

* Thomas Carter, 52, of North Northwood Drive, Inglis, at 8:19 a.m. July 28 on an active Richmond County, Virginia, warrant for being a fugitive from justice stemming from an original charge of assault. His bond was denied.

* Larry Gates, 60, of North Cloverdale Terrace, Hernando, at 8:54 a.m. July 28 on an active warrant for obtaining property by means of a worthless check. His bond was set at $1,000.

* Robert Davis, 34, of West Grove Street, Homosassa, at 10:04 a.m. July 28 on an active warrant for felony charges of trafficking in stolen property, and false verification of ownership to a pawnbroker. His bond was set at $7,000.

* Tanner Ricard, 23, of South Plumtree Terrace, Inverness, at 4:14 p.m. July 28 on an active Marion County warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

* Catherine Miller, 50, of Crystal River, at 8:08 p.m. July 28 on a felony charge of burglary to an unoccupied residence. Her bond was set at $5,000.

* Diana Scrivener, 54, of Crystal River, at 8:08 p.m. July 28 on a misdemeanor charge of battery. Her bond was set at $500.

* Andrew Demeraski, 37, of West Rich Street, Crystal River, at 3:23 a.m. July 29 on an active warrant for obtaining property by means of a worthless check. His bond was set at $1,000.

* Kristin McCrady, 26, of West Church Lane, Lecanto, at 3:24 a.m. July 29 on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in hydromorphone. According to her arrest affidavit, McCrady was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over because the driver, Andrew Demeraski, had an active warrant out for his arrest. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs and 79 promethazine tablets, along with unused hypodermic needles were found in McCrady’s purse. She also had 49.5 hydromorphone hydrochloride pills with a total weight of 7.43 grams and four methadone tablets hidden in her shorts. Her bond was set at $27,000.

* A vehicle burglary was reported at 6:34 p.m. Friday, July 25, in the 4100 block of S. Taylor Terrace, Homosassa.

* A residential burglary was reported at 10:21 p.m. July 25 in the 200 block of S. Pine Ave., Inverness.

* A residential burglary was reported at 11:02 a.m. Saturday, July 26, in the 7800 block of E. Gospel Island Road, Inverness.

* A residential burglary was reported at 11:45 a.m. July 26 in the 2800 block of S. Euclid Terrace, Homosassa.

Thefts

* A grand theft was reported at 9:16 a.m. Friday, July 25, in the 8500 block of W. Goodman Lane, Homosassa.

* An auto theft was reported at 11:09 a.m. July 25 in the 10 block of S. Lincoln Ave., Beverly Hills.

* A grand theft was reported at 11:44 a.m. July 25 in the 1800 block of W. Rutland Drive, Dunnellon.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 11:46 a.m. July 25 in the 1900 block of N. Lecanto Highway, Lecanto.

* A petit theft was reported at 1:34 p.m. July 25 in the 11500 block of E. Squire Court, Inverness.

* A petit theft was reported at 3:41 p.m. July 25 in the 300 block of N. Suncoast Blvd., Crystal River.

* A grand theft was reported at 4:20 p.m. July 25 in the 9900 block of E. New Hope Court, Floral City.

* A grand theft was reported at 4:35 p.m. July 25 in the 9300 block of N. Elkcam Blvd., Dunnellon.
