Arrests

* David Stephenson, 53, of Merridale Avenue, Leesburg, at 8:43 a.m. July 24 on two active Lake County warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of driving with a suspended license. He was already in custody on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest.

* Johnathon Perry, 19, of South Harrison Street, Beverly Hills, at 2:13 p.m. July 24 on misdemeanor charges of petit theft and resisting a merchant after a theft. According to his arrest affidavit, Perry is accused of shoplifting two bottles of Adidas cologne, valued at $22.98 each, from the Lecanto Walmart. Perry reportedly resisted when he was approached by an asset protection employee. His bond was set at $1,000.

* Robert Thomas IV, 22, of North Fanita Drive, Citrus Springs, at 8:40 p.m. July 24 on a felony charge of scheming to defraud. According to his arrest affidavit, Thomas is accused of shoplifting a waterproof telephone case from the Lecanto Walmart, then returning the item for a store credit of $22.22. Thomas then reportedly used the credit to purchase cigarettes and grocery items. His bond was set at $5,000.

* Jennifer Miller, 31, of Coonhide Road, Spring Hill, at 10:26 p.m. July 24 on a felony charge of trafficking in methamphetamine. According to her arrest affidavit, Miller was pulled over for an expired tag. Deputies doing a background check found that Miller had an active Sumter County warrant. She reportedly had approximately 13.95 grams of methamphetamine hidden on her person. Miller’s bond was set at $25,000.

* Arthur Lindquist, 56, of South Buckley Point, Inverness, at 10:18 p.m. July 24 on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. According to his arrest report, Lindquist is accused of driving a car toward a person in the road and forcing the victim to jump out of the way. His bond was set at $2,000.

* A burglary to a structure was reported at 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, in the 3900 block of N. Bluewater Drive, Hernando.

* A vehicle burglary was reported at 10:46 a.m. July 23 in the 4400 block of N. Carl G. Rose Highway, Hernando.

* A commercial burglary was reported at 12:32 a.m. Thursday, July 24, in the 2200 block of W. Norvell Bryant Highway, Lecanto.

* A commercial burglary was reported at 12:32 a.m. Thursday, July 24, in the 2200 block of W. Norvell Bryant Highway, Lecanto.

* A vehicle burglary was reported at 10:52 a.m. July 24 at Cypress Run, Homosassa.

Thefts

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in the 50 block of Oak Village Blvd., Homosassa.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 12:28 p.m. July 23 in the 4100 block of W. Gulf-to-Lake Highway, Lecanto. 

* A grand theft was reported at 7:19 p.m. July 23 in the 1900 block of N. Lecanto Highway, Lecanto.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 9:47 a.m. Thursday, July 24, in the 10200 block of S. Sand Creek Terrace, Inverness.

* A petit theft was reported at 1:10 p.m. July 24 in the 2400 block of E. Gulf-to-Lake Highway, Inverness.

* A petit theft was reported at 1:37 p.m. July 24 in the 1900 block of N. Lecanto Highway, Lecanto.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 3:24 p.m. July 24 in the 200 block of S. U.S. 41, Inverness.

* A grand theft was reported at 3:42 p.m. July 24 in the 10200 block of E. Pike Drive, Inverness.

* A vandalism was reported at 11:55 a.m. July 24 in the 5700 block of W. Irving Court, Homosassa.
