BUI arrest

* James Chadwick, 49, of Northwest 137th Avenue, Morriston, at 10:32 p.m. May 25 on a misdemeanor charge of boating under the influence. According to his arrest affidavit, Chadwick was pulled over not having any navigational lights on. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests and did poorly. Tests of his breath showed his blood alcohol concentration was 0.142 percent and 0.143 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent. Bond $500.

DUI arrest

* Catherine Hamilton, 46, of West Cypress Boulevard, Homosassa, at 10:08 p.m. May 26 on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. According to her arrest affidavit, Hamilton was seen driving away from a reported accident and failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests and did poorly. Hamilton reportedly refused Breathalyzer testing to measure the blood alcohol level in her blood. Bond $1,000.

Domestic battery arrests

* Alan Rooks, 50, of Beverly Hills, at 4:41 p.m. May 24 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

* Frankielene Davis, 40, of Beverly Hills, at 12:36 p.m. May 25 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

* Jeremiah Whetstine,31, of Inverness, at 4:04 a.m. May 25 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

* Lynda Fontenot, 40, of Inverness, at 9:45 p.m. May 25 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

* Andrew Larner, 26, of Inverness, at 10:53 p.m. May 26 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

Other arrests

* Anthony Berndt, 41, of Brooksville, at 12:36 p.m. May 23 on felony charges of sexual battery by a family or custodial person on a victim under the age of 18, and failing to report to the sheriff’s office as a sex offender. Bond $40,000.

* William Johnston, 26, of West Rutland Drive, Citrus Springs, at 2:17 p.m. May 23 on a misdemeanor charge of retail petit theft. According to his arrest affidavit, Johnston is accused of shoplifting 11 items from the Inverness area Walmart valued at $130.82, then returning the items for cash with a receipt that was already in his possession when he entered the store. Bond $1,000.

* Steven Shinkle, 27, of Inverness, at 3:01 p.m. May 23 on felony charges of possession with intent to sell a manufactured substance, and possession of a listed chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, along with a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. Bond $100,000.

* Michael Deeds, 32, of North Fresno Avenue, Hernando, at 6:47 p.m. May 23 on an active Levy County warrant for failing to register as a sex offender quarterly as required by law. Bond $50,000.

* Kenneth Graham, 60, of South Monroe Street, Beverly Hills, at 7:22 p.m. May 23 on felony retail theft. According to his arrest affidavit, Graham is accused of shoplifting king crab legs, beef briskets, ribs and dog food, with a total value of $325.04, from the Lecanto Walmart. Bond $2,000.

* George Reider III, 32, of South Merleing Loop, Floral City, at 1:01 a.m. May 24 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of sex offense with a victim between the ages of 12 and 15.

* Reginald Murphy, 28, of Northeast Fifth Terrace, Crystal River, at 2:31 a.m. May 24 on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender, along with misdemeanor possession of cannabis. According to his arrest affidavit, a vehicle driven by Murphy was spotted by the Citrus County air unit and flagged as acting suspicious. A deputy pulled over the vehicle in Beverly Hills and Murphy reportedly attempted to flee on foot. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle and 2.2 grams of cannabis was found in the vehicle and 3.4 grams were found on Murphy when he was detained a few blocks away. Approximately 1.2 grams of crack cocaine was also found in the vehicle. He was also charged on an active Marion County warrant for battery. Bond $6,000.

* Kristin Robinson, 34, of Inverness, at 7:28 a.m. May 24 for felony battery, causing great bodily harm, disability, or disfigurement, along with misdemeanor resisting an officer without violence. 

* Scott Donoho, 44, of West Vanaman Court, Crystal River, at 5:45 p.m. May 24 on two active warrants for felony violation of probation stemming from original charges of driving with a suspended license, and possession of morphine.

* Deanna Badessa, 42, of East Glencoe Street, Inverness, at 7:09 p.m. May 24 on an active warrant for felony possession of methamphetamine. Bond $5,000.

* Kenneth Carley, 25, of East Southlake Drive, Floral City, at 7:36 p.m. May 24 on a felony charge of trafficking in stolen property. According to his arrest affidavit, Carley is accused of attempting to sell stolen antique items. Bond $10,000.

* Brandon Huggins, 25, of South Thrasher Avenue, Homosassa, at 7:33 p.m. May 24 on a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence. According to his arrest affidavit, Huggins was involved in a disturbance at waterfront bar in Homosassa. He reportedly did not return his boat to the dock when instructed to do by a deputy. He was released on his own recognizance.

* Peter Johnson, 46, of North Hourglass Terrace, Crystal River, at 8:32 p.m. May 24 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of grand theft.

* Claudia Gibson, 33, of Western Drive, Inverness, at 9:40 p.m. May 24 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. According to arrest affidavit, Gibson was pulled over for speeding. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle and a baggie containing methamphetamine, along with a cut straw with methamphetamine residue was found in her possession. Bond $5,500.

* Steven Lowrey, 32, of Hernando, at 10:05 p.m. May 24 on a misdemeanor charge of battery. Bond $1,000.

* Stephen Whitaker, 52, of 12th Street, Crystal River, at 10:42 p.m. May 24 on a misdemeanor charge of trespass after warning. According to his arrest affidavit, Whitaker refused to leave the a dwelling, reportedly locking himself in an unoccupied room. Bond $500.

* Ryan Payne, 21, of South Francis, St. Augustine, at 8:50 p.m. May 24 on two active warrants for felony violation of probation stemming from original charges of dealing in stolen property, grand theft, and criminal mischief. He was reportedly transported from the St. John’s County Jail to the Citrus County Detention Facility.

* Ashley Slider, 26, of Joni Boulevard, Loganville, Georgia, at 9:50 p.m. May 24 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of burglary. She was reportedly transported from the Putnam County Jail to the Citrus County Detention Facility.

* James Reed, 31, of West State Street, Homosassa, at 3:05 p.m. May 25 on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of cannabis. According to his arrest affidavit, Reed was reportedly sleeping or passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at the intersection of Halls River Road and U.S. 19. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle and methamphetamine, two needles, and 0.5 grams of cannabis were found in his possession. Bond $7,500.

* Andrew Gaab, 41, of Southwest 38th Street, Ocala, at 2:50 p.m. May 25 on a misdemeanor charge of battery. He is accused of getting into a physical altercation and punching the victim while they were hanging out in the water on the shallows of King’s Bay. Bond $500.

* Thomas Neil Jr., 39, of South Fireside Way, Homosassa, at 4:55 p.m. May 25 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of dealing in stolen property. He reportedly turned himself in to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office.

* Richard Wamser, 60, of Inverness, at 10:39 p.m. May 25 on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing in an occupied structure. According to his arrest affidavit, Wamser is accused of trespassing at the Inverness Walgreens after being previously trespassed from the store. Bond $1,000.

* Traci Palmer, 39, of North Hale Road, Citrus Springs, at 10:18 p.m. May 26 on an active warrant for obtaining property by means of a worthless check. Bond $300.

* Jonus Serrano, 32, of Inverness, at 9:39 a.m. May 26 on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or manufacture, along with misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia. Bond $10,500.
