Arrests

* Chad Beaver, 31, of Crystal River, at 10 a.m. April 24 on a felony charge of battery on a person over the age of 65. Bond $2,000.

* Pamela Finley, 65, of South Diecidue Drive, Crystal River, at 11:02 a.m. April 24 on an active warrant for a felony charge of keeping a house for gambling, and two felony counts of possessing, renting or selling a slot machine. Bond $15,000. 

* Colton Silcox, 21, of South Evans Point, Inverness, at 9:10 a.m. April 24 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, Silcox was parked in the Bealls parking lot and an employee notified deputies of suspicious behavior. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle and a Roxycodone pill, along with a plastic straw, were reportedly found in his possession. Bond $5,500.

* Benjamin Moore Jr., 23, at 10:09 p.m. April 24 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cannabis. According to his arrest affidavit, Moore was pulled over for speeding in Beverly Hills. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle, and 5.1 grams of cocaine, 15.9 grams of marijuana, a grinder used for marijuana, and a digital scale were all reportedly found in his possession. Bond $6,000.

* Steven Ryland, 29, of West Van Buren Street, Inverness, at 9:50 p.m. April 24 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. He also faces a felony charge of fleeing a law enforcement officer, along with misdemeanor charges of knowingly driving with a revoked license, and drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, a deputy recognized Ryland behind the wheel and ran a database search, which confirmed he had a warrant out for violation of probation, and revealed that Ryland’s license had been revoked. Deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle, but Ryland reportedly accelerated in speed and, after pulling into the Inverness area Walmart, he jumped from the vehicle and began to run toward the wooded area behind the store. During a foot pursuit, the deputy deployed his Taser and Ryland was handcuffed and arrested. Deputies reportedly discovered a syringe in Ryland’s pocket. Bond $6,000.

* Lonnie Martin, 57, of East Harvard Drive, Hernando, at 11:12 p.m. April 24 on a felony charge of aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon. According to his arrest affidavit, Martin is accused of striking one of his roommates in the arm with a machete during a verbal dispute. Bond $5,000.

* Michael Sexton, 46, of East Wisp Trail, Inverness, at 12:30 a.m. April 25 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. According to his arrest affidavit, Sexton was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for failing to come to a complete stop before entering the highway. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs and approximately three grams of methamphetamine was found in his possession. Bond $5,000.

* William Ackley, 41, of East Mary Lue Street, Inverness, at 12:30 a.m. April 25 on a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, Ackley was pulled over for failing to come to a complete stop before entering the highway. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs and a scale with white residue was found in the vehicle. Bond $500.

* A commercial burglary was reported at 8:54 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in the 9300 block of W. Fort Island Trail, Crystal River.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in the 200 block of W. Fenway Drive, Hernando.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 8:38 a.m. April 24 in the 4900 block of S. Hummingbird Ave., Inverness.

* A grand theft was reported at 9:47 a.m. April 24 in the 1900 block of N. Dunkenfield Ave., Crystal River.

* A petit theft was reported at 11:37 a.m. April 24 in the 2400 block of N. Junglecamp Road, Inverness.

* A vandalism was reported at 7:17 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in the 16000 block of W. Fort Island Trail, Crystal River.

* A vandalism was reported at 7:40 a.m. April 24 in the 6100 block of E. Iona Lane, Inverness.

* A vandalism was reported at 9:58 a.m. April 24 in the 7700 block of W. Solar Place, Homosassa.
