Arrests

* Daniel Perry, 25, of South Dean Terrace, Inverness, at 10:16 a.m. March 18 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, Perry was stopped for an illegal lane change. Perry had a concealed weapons permit but did not disclose he had any weapons when first asked. Perry had a gun in the car and a knife in his pants pocket. After being searched an e-cigarette marked “cannastick” along with morphine pills were found in his possession. Bond $11,000.

* Walter Bodwin, 33, of King Avenue, Auburndale, at 1:46 p.m. March 18 on a an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of burglary. According to his arrest affidavit, Bodwin was transported to the Citrus County Detention Facility from the Polk County Jail. 

* Adam Ezzel-Din, 21, of Woodcrest Avenue, Inverness, at 3:16 p.m. March 18 on a felony charge of retail petit theft as a second offense, and misdemeanor resisting a merchant after theft. He was also charged with felony violation of probation stemming from original charges of grand theft and trafficking in stolen goods. According to his arrest affidavit, Ezzel-Din is accused of shoplifting four PlayStation controllers from the Inverness Kmart. When confronted by a loss-prevention employee, he reportedly refused to re-enter the store as requested. 

* Terry Wassink Jr., 34, of North East Avenue, Inverness, at 5:30 p.m. March 18 on a an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of failure to register as a sex offender.

* Michelle Black, 40, of South Elsie Point, Lecanto, at 5:54 p.m. March 18 on a misdemeanor charge of retail petit theft. According to her arrest affidavit, Black is accused of shoplifting multiple items, valued at $229.11, from the Inverness Walmart. She reportedly loaded the items into an electric wheelchair cart and left the store without paying. Bond $250. 

* Branden Evans, 35, of North Griffith Avenue, Crystal River, at 8:44 p.m. March 18 on an active warrant for felony grand theft and burglary to an occupied residence. According to his arrest affidavit, Evans was already incarcerated at the Citrus County Detention Facility at the time of his arrest. Bond $17,000.

* Joseph Petralia, 46, of South Chestnut Hill Point, Homosassa, at 8:53 p.m. March 18 on a an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. According to his arrest affidavit, he was already incarcerated at the Citrus County Detention Facility at the time of his arrest.

* Ahmad Warren, 30, of Barnett Road, Brooksville, at 1:14 a.m. March 19 on a felony charge of introduction of contraband into a detention facility, and misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer without violence, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, Warren was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a routine traffic violation in Beverly Hills. Warren reportedly gave a false name to the deputies and his identity had to be confirmed by using a fingerprint scanner. A database search revealed that Warren had three active Hernando County warrants. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle, and a digital scale, which field tested positive for traces of cocaine, was found in Warren’s possession. Three and a half grams of cannabis were found on Warren while he was being processed at the Citrus County Detention Facility. Bond $3,500.

* A commercial burglary was reported at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the 4000 block of W. Alamo Drive, Beverly Hills.

* A commercial burglary was reported at 1:20 p.m. March 18 in the 7700 block of N. Carl G. Rose Highway, Hernando.

Thefts

* A grand theft was reported at 9:02 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the 800 block of Pleasant Grove Road, Inverness.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 1:28 p.m. March 18 in the 7800 block of W. Badger Lane, Dunnellon.

* A larceny petit theft was reported at 2:29 p.m. March 18 in the 1600 block of N. U.S. 41, Inverness.

* A petit theft was reported at 3:22 p.m. March 18 in the 1000 block of S. Maplenut Way, Inverness.

* A petit theft was reported at 5:14 p.m. March 18 in the 2400 block of E. Gulf-to-Lake Highway, Inverness.

* A petit theft was reported at 5:21 p.m. March 18 in the 6700 block of W. Gulf-to-Lake Highway, Crystal River.

* A grand theft was reported at 7:59 p.m. March 18 in the 3100 block of N. Wheaton Point, Hernando.

Vandalism

* A vandalism was reported at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the 8100 block of W. Tracy Court, Homosassa.
