Pushin' & Pullin' & Draggin'

The 13th annual Truck & Tractor Pull gets in gear this weekend, pulling all classes of trucks and tractors for three days at the Citrus County Fairgrounds in Inverness.

Extreme tractors have automobile motors mounted on the frame along with low-geared transmissions to let these beasts roar to the finish line.

The Citrus County Fair Association expects to have a record number of pullers coming from all over the country, some from as far as Washington state.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, pulling at 6 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m., pulling at 1 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m., pulling at 1 p.m.

Tickets at the gate are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Advance tickets are on sale at the fair office and other outlets.
