Donna Hanson, 76

Crystal River

Donna Lee Hanson, 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at her home in Crystal River.

She was born on July 17, 1931, to William and Thelma Zopfi in Highland Park, Michigan. She moved here 25 years ago from Stone Mountain, Georgia.

She was a homemaker, an avid gardener and loved crafts and puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Creighton Hanson, in 1984 and one son, Christopher Dean Eppert, in 1980.

She is survived by 2 sons, Steven M. Eppert (JoAnne) of Southfield, Michigan and David R. Eppert (Rochelle) of Farmington Hills, Michigan; 2 daughters, Lynda Susan Nangle (Jim) of Canton, Michigan and Leslie Ann Johnson of Crystal River, Florida; 2 brothers, Harold E. Zopfi from Holly, Michigan and Lauren Fox (Rosa) of San Antonio, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Nelson, Chris, Jeff, Sean, Dawn, Jason, Kelly, Cheyenne and Mason; and 6 great-grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.

Brenda Neff

Floral City

Brenda J. Neff passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

Brenda was born and raised in Kentucky and moved to Florida in the 1960s. She was a member of the Floral City Lions Club.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Hyde of Florida, Ronda Hughes of Kentucky and her son, Timothy Hundley of Florida; her sister, Anna Green of Floral City; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a multitude of very close friends.

She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed playing cards, fishing and family gatherings.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. from Brenda’s residence at 6633 S. Dove Drive, Floral City. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness in charge of cremation arrangements.

Merlyn Nergaard, 61

Crystal River

Mrs. Merlyn Nergaard, 61, of Crystal River passed away Monday, May 12, 2008.

Merlyn was born September 26, 1946 in Manchester, England to the late Florence and Fredrick Chappell.

Merlyn enjoyed photography and operated a computer based photography restoration service.

She was an avid bird watcher and active in the local environmental community. Other hobbies included sewing, crocheting and gardening.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Nergaard of Crystal River, daughters Monica Nielsen of Homosassa and Julie Fedele and her husband Mark of Delaware and three beautiful and loving granddaughters, Lauren, Bray and Shelby.

Private cremation under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.
