Kickin' Up a Cure

The annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society was Saturday evening at the Citrus Springs Community Center. The ball featured live and silent auctions, guest speakers and fundraising games.

Artist Gigi Croom with her 3-D mixed media work titled "Survivor II," which was auctioned off at the Cattle Barons Ball. Croom donated the piece, which features a mirror behind the missing breast. She said this was done so viewers can look at the piece and see themselves, realizing anyone can be the face of cancer.
