Get ready for a ride

Donald G. Schweitzer started his latest letter with a quote from Thomas Jefferson: “Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct.”

Would this include one Barack Hussein Obama? Obama would love to be a representative to the United Nations, or in his mind, secretary general. Maybe that would explain his eagerness to throw Israel under the bus, betraying the only true ally we have in the Middle East.

Schweitzer seems to be very enamored of the intelligence community, worried that their effectiveness will be diminished. Yet this is the same community that claimed Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, which led to war. Bet you Schweitzer was one of the Bush-lied crowd.

The election is over, all the complaining and whining will not change the fact Trump was the choice. His supporters were not blind to what this country had become over the past eight years. The fact the GOP controls the majority of the state governments, both houses of Congress and the presidency shows an almost complete rejection of the Democrats and their socialist agenda.

My suggestion to all is put your best shades on, buckle up and hang on — we are in for a ride.
