DUNNELLON — It’s time for a little dust up, as Boomtown Days Dunnellon takes over the Historic District.

The long-running festival celebrates the city’s population “boom” at the height of the phosphate discovery in the late 1880s, which continued through the 1890s and longer. The day-long event begins at 10 a.m., with festivities wrapping up by 9 p.m. Entry is free.
