A question I am frequently asked by cancer patients is, “Should I continue to exercise as I go through therapy?” My recommendation is usually yes, unless exercise may pose a risk to the patient. If you talk to patients, they have endless reasons for why they exercise and how it makes them feel better. It helps people stay with treatment and feel better about life. It gives them feelings of control and hope. You’re going to be able to interact with your family and friends better and do the things that are meaningful for you.
