­Church-state talk scheduled June 17

Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Nature Coast Chapter, will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Lakes Region Library, 1511 Druid Road, Inverness. The public is welcome to join in the discussion on constitutional issues pertaining to separation of church and state.

Downtown Dems to meet Tuesday

The Downtown Democratic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at the B&W drugstore in Inverness.


African dance, drum program offered

Starting today and on Mondays running through much of summer, there will be African dancing and drumming classes offered at Crystal River’s Copeland Park, 850 N.E. Third St., from 6 to 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome and youths are especially encouraged to attend. A small fee is charged.

Those attending should bring drinking water.
