County government seeks volunteers

Citrus County has a volunteer program and is looking for people who are interested in assisting in various departments throughout the county. Bright, enthusiastic and energetic adults who would like to assist the professional staff in enhancing services to the community are sought.

Some examples of volunteer opportunities include: event workers, clerk typists, people to file or answer telephones.

First e-newsletter to come out today

Citrus County is offering a monthly electronic newsletter to inform citizens of the everyday happenings of local government. Citrus Link will be delivered through email the first Monday of each month, with the first edition to be sent on Monday, March 3.

Features will include upcoming projects, commissioner highlights, new products and services being offered, employee recognition, upcoming construction projects, schedule of events, details about department functions and much more.
