Sabal Trail project readying for construction

By Michael D. Bates

The Sabal Trail natural gas pipeline will soon be on its way through Citrus County, but it will take thousands of hands to get it here.

For the thousands of hands here eager for work, there will be a contractor fair April 19 in Ocala where people can meet with pipeline representatives. The project will require a variety of suppliers and service providers in these categories: paving, fuel, landscaping, food services, office supplies, welding supplies, equipment leasing and repair, security, housing, fencing, sanitation, sand and gravel, cement, portable toilets and lumber.
