Citrus County Genealogical Society

The Citrus County Genealogical Society (CCGS) will meet January 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3474 W. Southern St., Lecanto. The guest speaker will be Peter Summers, President of the Pinellas County Genealogical Society. His topic will be "Getting the Most Out of the National Archives Website." He will talk about the parts of the website that are of the greatest value to genealogists. Although the website (www.archives.gov) is very large and sometimes difficult to use, it does provide free access to numerous records via the Access to Archival Databases (AAD) link on the Research Our Records page.  Guests are welcome to attend CCGS meetings.
