Planners support industrial park; request moves to BOCC

By Mike Wright

Citrus County planners gave unanimous support Thursday to a rezoning effort in Holder to create a 549-acre industrial park near the Sabal Trail pipeline.

The Planning and Development Commission urged county commissioners to approve the rezoning on property east of U.S. 41 and south of County Road 491.

The property is owned by the Deltona Corp., but Duke Energy is facilitating the county zoning regulatory process, and the Economic Development Authority of Citrus County, or EDACC, is preparing the property for development.
