  • 336-0207 SUCRN PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION TO BID Contract Mowing of County Right-of-way District 11 (Citrus Springs) ITB 002-16 Citrus County invites interested parties to submit a Bid to provide routine mowing of County right-of-ways District #11, Citrus Springs, Units 1-27, Row Width 60/80/100, (miles totaling approximately 419) for the purpose of controlling growth on shoulders, ditches, back slopes, and other grassed areas. Minimum Requirements For Submitting A Bid Bidder shall meet, at a minimum, the following requirements to be determined a responsive and responsible Bidder at the time of Bid Submittal: The contractor shall have at least one individual certified in Work Zone Safety, Intermediate Level or Maintenance of Traffic MOT Certification. The Florida Department of Transportation does not provide the courses required to obtain this specific certification. There are a number of companies/organizations that are certified to provide the courses for Work Zone Safety, Intermediate Level. One avenue to obtain this certification is from the Florida Transportation Technology Transfer Center of which information may be found on the following website: http://www.t2.ce.ufl.edu/. In the event the Contractor does not have at least one individual certified in the Work Zone Safety, Intermediate Level or Maintenance of Traffic MOT Certification at the time of Bid submittal, the Contractor may submit with their Bid package a registration confirmation from a qualified company confirming the course level and date which shall be required to be passed within 30 days of the contract Award. A Notice to Proceed shall not be issued until the certification is obtained. Please be advised that should a Contractor fail to pass the course at the scheduled date and time, the Contractor will be terminated from the Contract.
