536-1210 THCRN BOCC/COCR WASTEWATER NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO USE THE UNIFORM AD VALOREM METHOD OF COLLECTING NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all owners of lands located within the 2011 Citrus County/City of Crystal River Wastewater Special Assessment District - Area 114, as more fully described in Resolution Number 2011-225, that the Board of County Commissioners of Citrus County, Florida sitting as the governing body of the 2011 Citrus County/City of Crystal River Wastewater Municipal Service Benefit Unit For Wastewater Utility Services - Area 114 is considering the adoption of a non-ad valorem assessment for the provision of wastewater services and facilities commencing in fiscal year 2014/2015 within said area and intends to use the uniform method for the levy, collection and enforcement of non-ad valorem assessments as set forth in Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes. The Board of County Commissioners of Citrus County, Florida sitting as the governing body of the 2011 Citrus County/City of Crystal River Wastewater Municipal Service Benefit Unit For Wastewater Utility Services - Area 114 will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners' Meeting Room, Citrus County Courthouse, 110 North Apopka Avenue, Inverness, Florida to consider the adoption of a resolution authorizing their use of the uniform method for the levy, collection and enforcement of non-ad valorem assessments. Such resolution will state the need for the levy and will contain a legal description of the boundaries of the real property subject to the levy. Copies of the proposed form of resolution, which contains the legal description of the real property subject to the levy, are on file at the Office of the County Administrator in the Citrus County Courthouse located at 110 N. Apopka Avenue, Inverness, Florida. If this method of collection is used, failure to pay the assessment will cause a tax certificate to be issued against the property which may result in a loss of title. Interested persons may appear at the hearing to be heard regarding the use of the uniform method for the levy, collection and enforcement of non-ad valorem assessments. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the County Commission with respect to any matter considered at the hearing, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
