A few elected officials are pushing to name a federal building in Washington, DC after Eliot Ness, the man incorrectly credited for "getting" Al Capone. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Don't get me started.
Ness must have been a good agent, and might have been a good guy too, but he did not "get" Capone, no matter how many times it's been incorrectly repeated. Seriously. The FBI didn't get Capone and neither did Ness, a prohibition agent. The IRS got Capone for income taxes.
